Sculpture by Reisa Gula

Reisa was born in 1944 in Windsor, Ontario. She came to Toronto in 1962 to live and work after being certified by The University of Toronto in Dental Nursing.

After the birth of her two children, she studied calligraphy at Earl Haig School for the Arts and Seneca College and then opened Pen and Inklings, her calligraphy and design business. Her work can be found internationally. After twenty years, the computer took away her clients! So she carried on painting, writing and teaching yoga.

During all that time she also attended the Ontario College of Art and George Brown College searching for just the right art discipline to devote her life to. Finally, in 1992 she walked into the Koffler Stone Studio for the first time and immediately knew that she was "home" at last.
